Our rates are extremely competitive, and we consistently deliver on time. We appreciate the investment you are making in your work. When you commit valuable time and money to ensure that your manuscript is exceptional, we are dedicated to your cause.Invoices are delivered at the end of each month, with payment due within 15 days. An initial retainer fee (equal to the first hour of work) is due with the signed contract. Rates are subject to change if the scope of the project changes; however, no changes will be made without agency-client consultation.

FEE STRUCTURE
Level 1.  Straight Copyediting/Proofreading: $35 per hour
Straight Copyediting/Proofreading does NOT include research or writing original material. This level also excludes any major re-writing. For major re-writes, see Level 3.

Level 2. Drafting Copy from Materials Provided: $50 per hour
Drafting Copy from Materials Provided does NOT include research or writing original material.

Level 3. Writing Original Articles: $65 per hour
This level includes all necessary research on the specified topic(s). Original copy is solely for the client's use.

TIMETABLES
LES works with you to schedule appropriate and reasonable deadlines, based on the scope of your project. Timelines will be negotiated, at the very start of the project, to fit your needs. We work on an electronic platform (copy is drafted and/or edited in Microsoft Word format, and all communications and submissions are via e-mail), which means we don’t waste time (or paper) waiting for the mail! Each project is evaluated independently to determine the most appropriate schedule and deadlines. Following are guidelines to use as a rule of thumb

Approximate editing timelines:	Approximate writing timelines
• 100 pages or less: 2 weeks	• 1,000 words or less: 2 weeks
• 101 - 200 pages: 3 weeks	• 1,001 - 3,000 words: 3 weeks
• 202 - 300 pages: 4 weeks	•3,001 - 5,000 words: 4 weeks
• 300+ pages: negotiable	• 5,000+ words: negotiable
